Editorial standards

Useful before commercial.

TrekReady may earn revenue from a recommendation one day. The recommendation must deserve to exist without that revenue first.

Primary and official sources first

Objective and route claims are grounded in guide-service itineraries, land managers, official maps, manufacturers, and other sources appropriate to the claim. The source remains visible.

Eligibility before economics

A product, guide, or route must fit the objective context on its own merits. Compensation cannot create eligibility or improve editorial rank.

Review dates travel with the claim

Catalog records carry verification and expiry dates. Expired inventory fails closed until it is reviewed again rather than remaining online by inertia.

Relationships are disclosed

Editorial, affiliate, referral, and sponsored relationships are distinct. Sponsored inventory never enters TrekReady’s editorial recommendation rail.

What inclusion does not mean

A listed route is not a statement about current conditions or a navigation product. A listed guide is not a guarantee of credentials, availability, service quality, or safety. A gear recommendation is not proof of personal fit. Verify those matters directly and use appropriate official sources before acting.

TrekReady records anonymous recommendation interaction without a member id, health value, or objective date. Read the Privacy Policy for the complete explanation.
